TUTR CLASS SCHEDULE
10:00 to 11:20 am – Intro to Inkle Weaving:
Students will learn how to read weaving patterns, warp an inkle loom, and weave a length of trim. After the class, students will have the rest of the day to work on their projects before returning any borrowed looms.

Supplies: Scissors, loom and shuttle if you have them. A few loaner looms are available.
11:30 am to 12:20 pm – Beyond Basic Embroidery:
This class takes the basic embroidery stitches (stem stitch, chain stitch, herringbone stitch, and cross stitch) and teaches you how to take them further to expand your repertoire. Clear handouts from Erica Wilson’s Embroidery Book will enable you to follow the instructions.

1:00 to 1:50 pm Highlighting and Shading with Gouache:
Learn an essential skill for illuminating charters and scrolls.

2:00 to 2:50 pm Introduction to Wool Applique Embroidery:
Learn how easy it is to make items like Contessa Morgaine’s coronation cloak, or HL Tanikh‘s foot cushion. This is a hands-on session where students will start with a small pillow cover, pouch, patch, or other small project of their choice.

3:00 to 3:50 pm Basic Fingerloop Braiding:
Create a strong, decorative cord for ties, lacing and more by interlocking loops from two strands of yarn, using only your fingers.
