Please note that at this time, land grab is closed. There will be some overflow camping. Due to rainier than average conditions, some of our camping space will be a bit tighter than originally anticipated. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. A camp map will be available at gate.
If you would rather stay off-site, please note there many be cabin rentals available at the Hyatt Lake Resort. You can find more information at: https://hyattlake.com/ or by googling Hyatt Lake Cabins. Hyatt lake is roughly 15 minutes from site. There are also many hotel options in Ashland about 30 minutes away. The road up to site is very windy and mountainous at times.
Time | Activity | Location |
As this is a remote area, guests should plan for their own meals and to shop for food and necessities in either Klamath Falls or Ashland.
Ashland is about 30 minutes away down Dead Indian Memorial Road (I know, its awful and many have tried to get it changed. Please note this road is slow going and very curvy/mountainous but the most efficient way down to Ashland from site) including an Albertson’s, Safeway, Food Co-Op, and other options.
Klamath Falls is 55 minutes from site (on a less windy road) and includes a Fred Meyer, Natural Grocers, Holiday Market, Albertson’s, and other options.
As a reminder, wood and propane fires are allowed at Tain Bo X so long as they are self contained (please do not dig holes in the property owners ground).
Check back soon for information on the following tournaments and activities
Check back here soon for Youth & Family Activities including fun in the Tain Bo Maze!
Tain Bo only works with a slew of volunteers. Please contact the Event Steward at piaras2013@gmail.com to find out how you can help! Remember – everything you choose earns your branch points toward winning the Tain Bo Banner and this year’s winner takes home the whole thing – forever!
If you are interested in being a merchant at Tain Bo X, please send an email to our Merchant Coordinator at GlynDwfnMerchants@gmail.com. Please note that unlike the last 2 years, we will not have a free, public facing medieval market as the new location of the event would make this both impractical and difficult for most of the “non-sca” public. However, we will be still advertising Tain Bo X to the public at large and they will be required to wear garb like any other participant.
No specific attendance is inferred or guaranteed, but we expect about 200 attendees at this year’s Tain Bo. Merchants are expected to make an attempt at period garb and pavilion set up.
Interested in teaching a class or running a special activity? Send the event steward an email or let us know through Facebook!
More information to come – but as this is a more remote area, local amenities are limited and emergency response time will be longer.
